SANFORD PRINT
SANFORD PRINT addresses a deficiency of conventional screenprinting for certain applications where the ink is at risk of delamination and/or chipping. Unlike conventional silkscreen where the ink is pigment-based and the ink after curing adheres to the surface of the anodic coating, SANFORD PRINT uses specialty dye-based inks that can selectively be deposited into the anodic cells that are then sealed closed. SANFORD PRINT has greater anodic cell pore volume due to the unique properties of Low Voltage AC/DC hard coating, and this extra volume results exceptional optical density for vivid and bold logos and artwork. Ask for the print performance studies of SANFORD PRINT that demonstrate how it clearly meets the Fit for Purpose requirements for medical devices, including those which require STERRAD, STERRIS, and Autoclave sterilization.
SANFORD PRINT can also be over-dyed or receive multiple colors for more complex images and to meet more challenging design requirements.

Laser-Marking
DCHN offers laser-marking services when this printing technique is called out. Laser marking can be done on both Type II and Type III hardcoat, and DCHN’s expertise in controlling the quality of the anodic also allows for unparalleled laser printing.
Silk Screen Printing
DCHN printing team can complete either conventional silk screen printing or SANFORD PRINT – an embedded and indestructible print below the coating surface.
Conventional silkscreen printing deposits the ink of the surface of the article and is commonly used for brand logos and other artwork. Silk screen printing is an accepted standard and DCHN’s can quickly produce screens and print to our customers specification, saving both time and cost compared to using a second supplier.
